Will Missed Brintellix Doses Accelerate Muscle Twitching?
my 21 year old daughter is having severe twitching in her right hand and leg. She as been on brintellix for a few months but she missed her 3:00 does on friday and she took it at 9:00 friday night then again at 3:00 on saturday. The twitching started saturday. Could this be caused from missing the meds?
There are various effects possible when missed doses of Brintellix (Anti-depressant Vortioxetine) are encountered like: - Raised anxiety (major concern for muscle twitching) - Irritability - Nausea - Appetite changes - Dry mouth
Immediately start her doses on regular basis and do follow up after 48 hours about the progress of the same.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
