Will Nails Re Grow If Ripped Off?
Hi, I have a seven year old daughter whose middle toenail was ripped back and is only hanging on by a thread.. She is worried that it will not grow back and I am trying to reassure her that it will grow back, and that we should cut the rest of the dead part off. The skin under the nail is already healed and dry, so it is not tender. If someone could respond and reassure her that it will grow back and how long it might take, or if there is anything we need to put on it.

As your daughter nail peeled off from the nail bed.
normally human nail can regrow even after it completely got torn off.
As your daughter's middle toenails require 12 to 15 months to regrow.
nail growth will depends on diet ,gender,age etc.
As she was young the nail growth will be faster comparing to the adult . Healthy diet advised.
advise her no need to worry that her nail will regrow.
