Will Percocet Help Me To Dilate More?

I wanted to know if percocet will help me to dilate more? I went to the er yesterday because my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart. I was 2cm and 60% effaced. They gave me 2 percocets and sent home. I really haven t been feeling my contractions that much since then. Was my contractions supposed to stop?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,
You were given percocet and sent back because, your contractions were not true labor pain/active uterine contractions. These false contractions will go away with rest, sedation and drugs like percocet. Also, condition of your cervix suggest you were not in labor. You need not worry;just relax and wait for true contractions, which will be coming in regular intervals, and progress in intensity as well as frequency.
Take care,Thank you.
