Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi doctor, had unprotected intercourse on 16 th and 19th and 26th. one time intentionally but two time wasn t intentionally. took plan b all three times. but, since i took 3 plan b in just one cycle and in short duration of time, is it still effective and i won t get pregnant? and will I get my periods on time. and if i don t get my periods on time is it okay to take femitrone?
Taking Plan B multiple times in once cycle decreases its effectiveness, though it would still reduce the chances of getting pregnant compared to not taking it.
So there is a chance, though it may be small, that you can get pregnant.
Plan B often delays periods. Regardless, it would be safe to start taking femitrone if you have decided to start continuous birth control with it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
