Will Removal Of NuvaRing After Unprotected Sex Cause Pregnancy?

I was on the bc nuvaring and took it out because i started my period. After my period i couldnt replace it because my pharmacy stopped accepting my insurance and later that day i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. Im starting to have slight cramps, moody, always hungery, very tired all the time, gaggy with some foods, and oily hair and skin. If i am pregnant i would be around 3 weeks. My question is, is it normal to have cramps and very light spotting? I have a 16 month old already and havent experienced any of this while pregnant with her because i didnt find out till i was 4 months pregnant.

Hi,

Nuva Ring is a very effective contraceptive, if used properly. Its efficacy is present even during the ring free week, if used as advised. However, after ring free week, if you had intercourse without ring, then there may be chances of pregnancy. Therefore, to confirm/rule out a pregnancy, you are advised to go for HPT.
