Will Smoking Affect Running Abilities?

If I smoke 2-3 cigarettes a week, is that real bad for my health? I'm sixteen and have an extraordinary running condition, I ran my first semi-marathon when I was fourteen, but will smoking a few cigs a week really damage my health and damage my running abilities?

good evening dear
cigarette smoking is indeed injurious to health, in long run or in short run of life span, smoking causes stiffening of your lungs muscle, thereby your breathing will impair, which is an integral part of any sport (consistent breathing, because body requires oxygen for your muscles to work while you are doing any sport), so definitely even one cigarette a week will cause problems for you in long run
