Yes, Marijuana and nicotine have effects with the medication given for anesthesia. It tends to reduce the effect of the drugs given hence need to give high doses which can lead you to experience side effects after the medication wears off. Thus, it is advised not to take Marijuana, nicotine and alcohol if you are going for surgery.
