Will Smoking Marijuana Damage Heart? Diagnosed With High Blood Pressure, Cholesterol And Diabetes. Stent Placed After Blockages Found

My husband is 37. He was diagnose with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes 7 years ago. 8 months ago he pass out in the bathroom and was rush to the ER. They found blockage to all 4 arteries. They place stents in 3 arteries and may have to place one in the other at a later time . My biggest QUESTION i have is, My husband smoke marijuana everyday and sometimes 2 to 3 times a day. Is he causing more damage to the heart or arteries? Will the stents get damage because of the marijuana? He still not exercising and he haven't change his diet habits at all. I'm very concern. He take so many different medicine now he on blood thinners and haven't been to see his cardiovascular doctor since the stents were place. What risk are he taking by smoking marijuana? especially on so many different medication. He is also a heavy cigarette smoker.

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
A man of 37 years of age,had a stroke of block of 4 arteries means it is not a small thing. He should be very cautious about the health.
Tobacco and marijuana are very dangerous for a man with heart attack. They cause the athereosclerosis, and narrowing of the blood vessels, and can lodge the thrombus comfortably and cause the heart attack.
Calories and the fats are to be minimised to controle the cholesterol, which is the major factor responsible for heart attack.
Do exercises, and walking to minimise the weight, and cholesterol.
He should regularly go for check up by the cardiologist,at least once in a month.
If occurs the second attack will be very massive.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
