Will Stopping Medication For High BP Reduce Episodes Of Cold, Chills And Indigestion?

I am a 65 year old , happily married active grandmother. Work fulltime and babysit my grandchikdren when not working. I m 5FT 2 and 130lbs. Cholesterol about 127. Have osteopenia but otherwise healthy. My PCP prescribed 12 1/2 mg of hydrochlorithiazide. Ive been taking it for a year now and monitoring my BP at home a.m & p.m.and its usually between 118/70 -140/80. I believe i have White coat syndrome because its usually very good unless ive had too much salt in a meal.It was 187 over something when she prescribed it.I m cold always g&!etting chills. Anyway, i ve lost my apetite, get dizzy alot, have achy joints now but mostly have terrible indigestion to the point where i thought i had an ulcer. Was prescribed omeprozole but switched to pepcid.i d like to stop BP med but dr. says stay on. Have stopped bp med in past & symptoms went away. Any suggestions, please?
