yes I have aortic heart valve disease. my aortic valve is sever, and my tricuspid is sever and I have pulmi...that is sever.one more mitral I think I spelled that right is mild to moderate. I also have a loop recorder because I have been having fainting with shortness of breath. the loop recorder is telling that I have extra beats coming from the top and bottom of my heart. this happens a lot when I am up moving around my heart beat will be over 100 sometimes when sitting. my doctor has just now put me on metoprololol. also my heart ejection is 55 to 60%. my question is I am sleeping a lot now how long do you think it will be or would you recommend that I have heart valve surgery to give me back my life. I am 49 year old female that feels like I am 100 years old. I was very active until last year this time when I went to the doctor because I had shortness of breath I just thought it was a panic attack but the doctor heard the heart mummer and did an ekg which my heart was racing at the time.
Hello, Thank you for the query. I would definitely suggest to have surgery. Your symptoms are dedicated to severe aortic stenosis. You are very young and the benefits of the operation is maximal. Prior to the operation, maybe it is better to have an coronary angiogram.
