Will Taking Amoxyxillin Help Cure Dry Cough?
Hello, my son (aged 8 years) has had a nagging cough (mostly dry) over the past 4 days. He has fever on Saturday and our GP prescribed him a course of antibiotics - amoxycillin. He is still having cough and we believe this is due to pollen allergy. Can I give him some Piriton although he is still on antibiotics (for the next 3 days). Thanks

He might be having viral infection or mixed with bacterial infection as well.
Continue with antibiotic medicine as it takes some time to give symptomatic relief.
You can give Piriton syrup with antibiotic medicine as well.
