Will Taking Lipator Be Safe For Sensations On Foot?

My husband had been having s sensation in his one foot as though he is walking on a bubble in the ball of his foot. It begain about a year ago after spending sometime in August in Disney world with our cherenkov and grandchdren. He had appropriate shoes but the heat was I tense. We have seen 2 doctors about this and both gave us no answers or solutions; In fact one came close to laughing at my husband. He has no feeling in the ball of his foot when this sensation is at it's worse. He is not a diabetic, but can a non-diabetic have nuropothy? His health is good his colestoral is normal , but our family doctor has put him on a 10 mg lipator because he is now 65 years old

Hi,
Lipitor as you have suggested is a treatment for high cholesterol. He can continue it.
It is safe and would not affect the sensations in foot.
Neuropathy has many other causes than diabetes which include, vitamin deficiency with or without alcoholism, medications, infections are possible autoimmune disorders.
However, good nutritional diet can help you in possible improvement. You can start multivitamin tablets with a prescription from your doctor.
Other important things include
1. Taking care of the foot
2. Avoid alcohol and smoking
3. Avoid prolonged pressure to ensure good blood supply to the location
4. Massage and keeping food in warm water should improve circulation.
5. Nutritional diet.

You can follow this for two months, and get back to me, if you have any further queries.
