Do birth control pills increase the risk of getting cancer? Does having a cyst on the ovaries increase these risks? Does the amount of time on the pill increase these risks? And Does taking birth control pills affect bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections?

Hi,

No. Taking birth control prevents from ovarian, endometrial and colon cancer. For breast cancer there are various studies going on. So till date birth control pills are not responsible for causing cancers.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
