Will Taking More Fiber In Diet Help In Treating Diarrhea?

I have been on south beach diet and have had no sugars or carbs for 2 weeks. I am trying to reintroduce wheat bread but i got diarhea. Today I have a bread that is 5 grams of fiber versus 3 and hope not to have diarhea. Will more fiber help this problem?

Hello,

If this is the diarrheal condition then it may not be due to the disease but it seems to be due to dyspepsia some time it is the diet that causes the diarrhea but it is not the disease condition so just take care in diet else it is nothing to worry. Take x-ray of your right shoulder joint first to rule out any dislocation or hairline fracture. Please consult your ortho doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
