Will Taking Simvastatin For Long Term Cause Any Problems?
Morning I have been taking Simvastatin and aspirin since July following following an operation for hardening of the arteries, I have since read a report that Simvastatin can cause various side effects. Is it receommended to stay on this daily mix of drugs for extended periods of time????

Simvastatin are the class of drugs help to lower cholesterol levels in the blood and by lowering the levels they help to prevent heart attacks, stroke and TIA. The most common side effects are muscle pain, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, rash, abdominal pain, flushing of skin etc.
Less common side effects are hair loss, pins and needles sensation in skin, liver inflammation, pancreas inflammation, loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, memory loss, high blood sugar, neuropathy etc. Serious side effects are rare but they are life threatening like inflammation of muscle or myositis, creatine kinase elevation, rhabdomyolysis etc.
