Will Taking Stamlo Two Times A Day Cause Any Harm,and Can I Start Taking Regular Dose From Tomorrow?

hello doctor,i'm a 55 year old lady on stamlo 5 OD since 3months...today by mistake i've taken the medicine two times. The gap was nearly 8 hrs...so i'm anxious that will that cause any harm at night and do I again able to take my regular dose from tomorrow again?

Tablet Stamlo (Amlodipine) is a calcium channel blocker and a preferred antihypertensive. I would like to know about your baseline status of your Blood pressure. If it remains around 130-140/80-90 mm of Hg or more, you may not have much problems. But if your baseline stays on the lower side, If you are symptom free you can go back to your normal drug regimen from the next morning. If you face any symptoms as mentioned above, please get atleast one BP recording done, before taking the next dose. Though in all possibilities, you shouldn't have much problem.
