Will Tetanus Shot Cause Stomach Disorders?

I have a bad stomach bug . Vomiting , diarrhea , horrible stomach pain. Feeling lethargic , and fuzzy. My question is : 4 days ago I hit my head really hard . Went to a local Urgent Care , they did a Cat scan (normal) and checked me over pretty good . Cleaned up most of the blood , stapled my head wound . Gave me a tetanus Shot and a pain shot. ................. I started getting my stomach problems around the same time , could the two issues be related ?

Hello and Welcome to healthcare Magic Forum!

The most common reactions to tetanus are: Mild fever, joint pains, headache and malaise

In rare cases however, we find diarrhea and vomiting, but it shouldn't be watery or bloody bowels because that indicates an additional infection not caused by tetanus, so if you're just having normal diarrhea and vomiting there is nothing to worry about it may just go away in a day or two, till then you can try taking norfloxacin tablets and ORS.

Wishing you complete recovery!
