Will The Intake Of Iron Tablets And Multivitamins Help To Cure My Eczema?
Hi there, I have been diagnosed with anaemia and am on iron tablets prescribed by my doctor. I am also taking a daily multivitamin just to help boost my nutritional intake and have been on both tablets for three weeks. I am just wondering when i will start to see results from them...i am hoping to be able to run like i used to and have healthier looking skin :) also wondering whether either of them will help my eczema?? many thanks, Eleanor :)
Eczema is autoimmune in nature and Iron or multivitamin deficiency is not implicated as a causative factor of eczema.
Skin health depends on a multitude of factors like having a good healthy wholesome diet, proper hydration and sun protection etc.
Apart from this any skin disease like Eczema does not necessarily indicate any deficiency and need to be treated under proper guidance of a dermatologist.
Topical steroids and topical immunomodulators are the most widely used treatments for eczema. Apart from these oral antihistamines, oral steroids and oral immunosuppresants are broad categories of drugs known to be effective in eczema.
Therefore I would advice that you see a dermatologist for proper assessment and treatment for your skin condition.
regards
