Will The Lump And Soreness On Knee Heal By Itself?

I got hit by a softball at about 50mph on the inside of the knee which caused a lump the size of a half dollar. It has been tender for a few weeks and it looks like maybe a hematoma. The soarness is not as great and the size has not increased. Will it subside on its own? Should I have a doctor look at it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
from history it seems that there is hematoma formation and now gradually reducing.
As there is no pain or restriction of movement at joint there is less chance of having injury on joint or ligaments.
Apply ice pack for few days.
Ok and take care.
