Will The Signs Of Gestational Diabetes Reappear Post Delivery ?

I has gestational diabetes and once I delivered, it went away. Once I stopped nursing, I noticed my levels becoming odd again. When I started controlling my post prandial numbers through diet and exercise, my fasting began to rise when earlier my fasting was lower but my post prandial was higher. Fasting is currently at 98 and post prandial a are controlled at under 120 after 2 hours. Why is my fasting rising with diet and exercise and will it get better as I continue to exercise?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your present fasting and post prandial blood sugars are under normal limits.
FBI more than 126 mg/dl and PPBS more than 200 mg/dl is diagnostic of diabetes.
Mothers with history GM ate prone to develop overt diabetes in the future.
I would advice my patient to follow lifestyle modification like diet and exercise. Maintain healthy body weight and check blood sugar levels once in three months.
