General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, sudden stopping of Plaquenil can cause withdrawal symptoms such as tremors and numbness in some people. These symptoms are not commonly reported but can occur in some cases. It's always best to talk to a doctor before stopping any medication from understanding the potential risks and side effects. Your doctor may be able to recommend a tapering schedule or alternative treatment to minimize withdrawal symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
