Will They Accept Me If I Go To Emergency Room ?

i got chest pain, shortness of breath, sharp pain in my shoulder, stomach, back, fast heart beat. i know that they are all symthoms of heart attack. but the thing is they are not very serious. i mean... i m not like grasping my heart and yelling for the pain like in the movie... but all the symthoms are there. i m really worried about it and i wanted to go to emergency room. so my questions is, if i go to emergency room, although i m not in as much pain as people in the movie, will they take care of me or they will ask me to leave and seek a doctor.

They will see you. You won't be turned away. I once went and was having a panic attack, which felt like what you are sort of describing. I also went when I had a terrible cold or flu and was treated. I went when I was in pain and vomiting with a bladder infection---they checked to make sure it was not kidney stones. So no matter what the problem, they will assess you.

Note: For further follow-up it is advisable to consult an emergency medicine specialist. Click here.
