Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have very dry skin on my legs and have recently noticed freckle like skin on my thighs. I also have these weird skin growths on my legs and feet. They are slightly raised and sometimes I can peel them off. What is this? I have slow thyroid and take medication, so my thoughts are that I have very dry skin which has something to do with that. Can you tell me what this might be?
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The dry skin can be related to hypothyroidism. The dryness of hypothyroid skin results from decreased eccrine gland secretion. I suggest to check the thyroid hormone levels for further evaluation.
Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
