Will Tinnitus Subside Once The Eardrum Heals?

Hi, I caused my eardrum to be perforated by placing an object in my ear. There was no real pain, but my ear started ringing right away. I have seen a doctor and am using ear drop, but I am really concerned about the ringing. Will it go away once my eardrum has healed?
