Wisdom Teeth Extracted Under General Anesthesia, Prescribed Hydrocodone For Pain. Will Phenergan Have Reaction With Vicodin ?
My daughter had her wisdom teeth extracted today under general anesthesia. She was prescribed hydrocodon-acetaminophen 5-300 for pain. She took one pill at 5:30pm and it is now 8:00pm and she is inexcruciating pain. The dentist told her to take ibuprofen 3 hours after the Vicodin. The pain os making her nauseus. Will 25 mg of phenergan have an adverse reaction with the Vicodin or ibuprofen
I would like to tell you that wisdom tooth extraction is often associated with post extraction pain and swelling, you dont worry about the symptoms as they will subside after sometimes. Please donot take the medications without the prescription of your Dentist. After the extraction healing process starts and there is increased salivation due to which she is feeling nauseating, you tell her to take lukewarm saline rinses 3-4 times a day. Tell her to relax and take complete rest. Take the complete course of antibiotics and analgesics as prescribed to you by the Dentist. Take an antiemetic. At home take antiseptic mouthwash rinses.
Hope you recover soon! Take care!
