With A History Of Tuberculosis And X-ray Showing Fibronodular Densities, Could Cough With Phlegm Indicate A Recurrence?

Hi, I was diagnosed with tb when i was 21 but was treated for 6 months. Everytime I take an xray exam, the result shows, Fibronudular densities left and right lobe. REMARKS: PTP Minimal, undetermined Activity. But lately i ve been experiencing cough with plehm but no fever. Is that an indication of a tb reactivation?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that it is indicative of TB but there are other causes of productive cough.

The other causes are:(1) post nasal drip in allergic sinusitis
(2) viral infection such as the common cold

TB would normally be associated with other symptoms such as fever, decreased appetite, shortness of breath, weight loss, night sweats.

It may be best to visit your doctor for an assessment.

I hope this helps
