Wooden Bed Post Went Into Left Rib And Breast, Pain While Sneezing, Breathing. Medication ?
34 years old in good health, fell a week and a half ago on to wooden bed post which went into left rib and breast . Pain when sneezing etc but bearable with no pain killers up until today when it has got so much worse and i have had to take pain killers and can barely move/breathe now - why has it suddenly got much worse when it seemed to be healing? The pain is in the whole left side - ribs/breast/under arm .

Thanks for posting your query.
You may have soft tissue superficial injury in skin or deep injury in lungs.
There may also be possibility of rib fracture.
You should consult with physician/ surgeon and go for urgent chest x ray.
If x ray suggest fracture rib then it will take long time for recovery.
Although this rib fracture will resolve spontaneously and you have to take pain killers for pain relief.
Soft tissue injury resolves fast and has short span.
