Worm Like Movement In Throat, Acidity, Heartburn. Had Throat Infection. Any Ideas?
Hello doctor...My name is seema and i have been experiencing worm like movement in the throat. this was two months back.. and since then i have been under treatemtn and was reported to have acidity problems. My throat was infected and i could not even speak a word. Now my cough has decreased and today i am experiencing wormish movement again in the throat. this is a matter of worry...I also experience heartburn today. I wanted to know whether heartburn or acidity can cause wormish movements in the throat or is it really a worm?

Gastric problems like reflux is one of the big cause for throat discomfort.
If you have symptoms of heart burns then there are great chances of causing throat problems.
This is because the acidic contents of stomach come up and irritates the throat, it is more in the night when you sleep and even more if you snore.
Throat discomfort can present with such feelings like worm in the worms in throat.
You must do life style modifications first---
Take food at regular intervals
Avoid binge eating
Walk daily in morning and evening after dinner.
Avoid smoking and alcohol.
Avoid spicy and oily food.
Avoid outside food.
Avoid junk food
Do regular breakfast
Less consumption of tea,coffee,sour juices and fried items
Avoid late night coffee.
Avoid aerated drinks
Eat fruits and
Avoid constipation
In addition you can take Antacid gel to drink .
