My whole life I've dealt with anxiety. Only once I went to a doctor about it and she gave me prozac, which sucks. Past couple years my anxiety attacks have sky rocketed, to the point where I just can't live life like this. It effects every aspect of my life.
Recently I had a bad attack and I went to the hospital, I feared for my safety. They gave me a script for ativan. Now it's good for general anxiety, it didn't do very much for an anxiety attack last night.
So to sum it all up:
Terrible bouts of anxiety attacks, have day-to-day anxiety. Ativan works well for getting anxious before bed time, and stressful situations throughout the day. But does absolutely nothing for anxiety attacks. They are ruining my life. I've been told about Klonopin. I asked my doctor about valium, but he said that doesn't get given out anymore. Would Klonopin be my next step up for these uncontrollable anxiety attacks?
