Would Bullet Fragments In Neck Interfere With An MRI?

I have bullet fragments in my neck. Would this interfere with an MRI? The fragments have been in my neck for approx. 42 years, therefore fatty tissue must have grown around them. My doctor had looked into this, spoke to an orthopedics Dr and with radiology. They said there s still a chance that I can have this done. My Dr had me get ex-rays done of that area. I need a second opinion please. I m a little nervous about this. Would love your feedback.Thank you Shirley B.

Hi

No one with metal in their body should undergo an MRI--the magnetic force could actually dislodge the bullet fragments

You need a ct scan instead
