Would Deviated Nasal Septum Surgery Help In Ear Problem?

My ent doctor said that I have a severe deviated septum, a cyst in the maxillary sinuses and Eustachian tube dysfunction. He says surgery. My main reason for going in to see him the first time was my ear bothered me. Would deviated septum surgery definitely help my ear?

Hi.
Eustachian tube dysfunction have many reasons , severely deviated nasal septum can be one of them.
Your mentioning the condition of the ear drum , whether retracted or have secretory otitis media would have helped me.
IT is better to go for a medical management for 3 weeks with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and decongestant oral as well as nasal drops. Steam inhalations.
Review after 3 weeks and then only to proceed for Surgery if absolutely indicated.
Yes, certain number of patients get a benefit.
