Would Excess Bleeding During Intercourse Be Due To Herpes?

I had sex with a 36 year old woman and she bleed very bad from the external area of her vagina with no pain she said she doesn t have sex very often could this be just tearing? I am now getting a cold sore on my lip how do I check if she perhaps had herpes and didn t tell me. I am prone to cold sores when under stress.

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

Herpes does not usually cause such heavy bleeding. So, it is likely that she had a vaginal tear. If you want to confirm whether there was any chance of transmission of Herpes, then the only way is to get yourself tested for Herpes. In the future always practice safe sex by wearing a condom.

Wish you all the best.
