Would Experiencing Shortness Of Breath During Exercise Normal?

I have shortness of breath when I exercise or take a few flights of stairs. This came on suddenly as I exercise 2-3 times a week both running and biking. It occurred during a nuclear stress test and a catherization revealed a bridge artery. My cardiologist started me on blood pressure medication a few days ago. I still have the symptoms. Should this improve over time with the medication or can it be another problem?
