Hi! Good afternoon. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
If I were your doctor, I would physically examine your chest and cardiovascular system along with the abdomen. Even though you might be a known case of
GERD, I would go for cardiac enzymes and a base line ECG for you. In case of any abnormality, I would call on a cardiologist/ER of the nearest hospital. If there was no
anxiety factor involved causing your symptoms, I would also then advise you to take an appointment with a cardiologist, and get yourself clinically assessed along with related investigations as would be advised by him. Till then I would suggest you to get your baseline blood pressure recorded and get some basic investigations done like a blood sugar, CBC, and a urine routine test. However, if your breathing problem persists or increases , I would prefer you to visit the nearest ER sooner to have proper diagnosis and management.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
