Would Heavy Concentration Of Achromobacter Xylosoxidans Disqualify The Patient From Receiving A Lung Transplant?

I was recently referred to get a lung transplant for severe COPD (29% lung function). Lab work indicates heavy concentration iOf achromabactor x... is this considered a highly resistant or virulent bacteria that would disqualify me from receiving a transplant?

Hi,

That is an opportunistic rare infection and usually occurs in immuno-compromised patients. This is not a contra-indication for lung transplantation.
