Would Spicy Food Consumption Cause Bloating And Soreness Within The Colon?

I ate a lot of spicy foods with garlic in it yesterday. I do have issues with garlic and take Prevecid to help with the issues. I am bloated today and my colon is sore. Would a cleanser be the right call to help with the pain and alleviate the issues?

Hi.

If you do have a history of issues with any particular type of food and take prevacid for it, then you should avoid soicy food, fried food, oily food and fatty food as much as possible. Taking spicy food can only aggravate whatever underlying cause for the presentation. I would recommend a bland liquid diet for a while with an antacid round the clock and plenty of water.

Best wishes.
