Would Taking Althea For Acne Cause Headache And Nausea?
hi. i switched from depo to pills a week ago because I was spotting for a month and was having acne. My ob recommended althea as this can get rid of acne and clear my skin. It's been a week now and all i have experienced was headache, nausea, grumpiness, and my acne are multiplying! is this normal or maybe I am not compatible with althea, like i was not compatible with depo as well.. help?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have multiplying acne on face along with headache, nausea, grumpiness after taking Althea which seem your body is not compatible with this. I would suggest you to get your hormone levels checked once. Wash your face with face-wash containing salicylic acid , exfoliate your skin once a week , apply raw honey on acne for 15 minutes daily and then wash. You should avoid oily and sharp food. You can apply adapelene gel as well at night. Ointments containing benzyol peroxide, azelaic acid or retinoids will be beneficial for you. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keeps on persisting and get proper prescription and start treatment.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
