Would Taking Tetralysal Has Any Effect During Pregnancy?

Hi, I have just found out i am pregnant. My L/m/p was 25/11/11 and i took a pregnancy test on 24/12/11. I am taking Tetralysal for my acne and have been doing so for about 4-5 months. I ran out and had not got a repeat prescription so do not think i have taken any since around 12/12/11. I am worried about the effect this would have as I have since found out this drug should not be used during pregnancy or when trying to get pregnant. What do you advise?? Thanks

Tetralysal is an antibiotics from tetracycline group. Tetracyclines are not advised to be taken during pregnancy as it has got bad effects on the baby. It chelates calcium. So the teeth may have yellow patches and the bones may be affected. Please report this to your obstetrician and take the expert advice. Now at least stop Tetralysal.
