Would The Hymen Be Intact Due To Penetration At A Young Age?
hi doctor. this is ayesha.. my sis was raped by a man of around 25 years of age....while she was around 10 years old.... before puberty.... rgt nw she ia 20 years old.... so can u pls tel me wat would have happnd to her hymen while she was raped.... nd between these 10 years....?? she says that whileshe was raped she did'nt feel anything..... nd there was no blood and pain.....bt the man inserted his thing inside her.... so y she did'nt feel nything..??nd says rgt nw she feels that her hymen is still there....is this possible..?? plss doctor help me out..... m worried fr her.....

When she says that she did not feel anything when she was raped, it means that the penis did not go inside the vagina. At the age of 10 years, the vagina is not yet fully developed and is very narrow. Hence, if erected penis enters the vagina, she would have felt tremendous pain and bleeding due to trauma to her vagina and hymen. From her history, I feel, the rapist could have just raped her inside her thighs. Then her hymen would be intact. She also feels that her hymen is intact. To confirm about the intactness of the hymen, please visit your Gynecologist. By just having a look at the vaginal outlet, Gynecologist can tell you about the condition of her hymen.
