Would There Be Any Side Effects Due To Extra Dosage Of Oral Polio Vaccine ?

Hi good afternoon. Last week I brought my daughter to the health center in our place to have her 3rd dose of vaccines. I wasn't able to remember if they have given the 3rd doses of oral polio drop. Is there any effect if I ask to give her again the opd this week? Is there an overdose? Thanks in advance.

There is no harm in giving additional dose.
It acts as booster dose.
In India, pulse polio immunization is carried out in a given location during which time, all the susceptible children that is the children less than 5 years of age are given dose of oral polio, AND THIS DOSE IS ADDITIONAL DOSE IRRESPECTIVE OF PREVIOUS IMMUNIZATION STATUS.

SO GO AHEAD, ADDITIONAL DOSES ARE ALWAYS HELPFUL IN POLIO
