Would Vitiligo Forming On An Existent Tattoo Deform The Tattoo?

Hey! I have been doing some tattoo research about the possible effects vitiligo (skin disease where white patches of skin form and natural skin pigment is lost) could have on tattoos. I know that tattooing has proven to be an effective cosmetic treatment for vitiligo spots that have formed, and that the effective skin does permanently take all tattoo ink colors. However, if someone had a pre-existing tattoo and vitiligo would begin forming and went into the existing tattoo would it effect the tattoo? My understanding is that since the tattoo ink is unnatural pigment, the body will not loose tattoo ink, infact I heard the natural skin becoming whiter will actually cause the tattoo to appear brighter in the areas effected. However, I m not 100% sure on this issue so I was asking... 1.) Will an existing tattoo loose ink (in part or full), color or fade if vitiligo would spread to the tattooed area? 2.)Whether or not some ink was lost or faded, would the tattoo still be visable and lifelong permanent in the effected areas as all tattoos are?

Hell,

The tattoo will remain un-affected in areas where skin is affected by a tattoo. Vitiligo will affect the skin where the tattoo ink is not present.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
