I had an x-ray and findings were said compatible to pulmonary tubercolosis.I ignored it coz i am not even a smoker, and I am not feeling any sign or symptoms of it.Later on,we had a family outing, after such long hours of swimming. That day after,i got a fever, headache, throat pain with mucus and blocked nose with some mucus. Then chest pain also attacks.what does these all mean?
DEAR SIR, IT IS NOT MANDATORY THAT ONLY SMOKERS TEND TO HAVE TUBERCULOSIS. ONCE YOU HAVE A SUSPICION OF TB ON XRAY GET YOUR SPUTUM EXAMINED FOR TB BACILI. AND IF IT TURNS OUT TO BE POSITIVE START WITH ANTI TB DRUGS UNDER DOCTOR GUIDANCE WITHOUT DELAY TB IS 100% CURABLE IF MEDICINE IS TAKEN REGULARLY AND WELL IN TIME THAT NO PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE LUNG HAS BEEN DONE. SPUTUM EXAMINATION REMAINS THE GOLD STANDARD TO DIAGNISE TB. REGARDS
