my x-ray shows hyperexpanded lungs possibly indicating Obstructive pulmonary disease, suspected left pleural effusion or thickening. Biabical opacities, likely parenchymal scarring related previous fungal or mycobacterial infection. questionable nodule in the right lung measuring app. 1cm. waiting for CT Help: what is this mean please Docs
It is difficult to interpret a x ray report in isolation without knowing the history, symptoms and clinical findings.
Hyper inflated lungs are suggestive of Obstructive lung disease like asthma or chronoc bronchitis/asthma. In obstructive lung disease, diaphragm may be flattened and may give an impression of pl effcusion/thickening.
Apical opaciries point towards an old or fresh lung infection.
As said above, more inputs are required to arrive at a diagnosis.
