Yeast Infection On Body On Folds In Skin, Tiny Granules Of Sand Coming Out. Type 2 Diabetic. Suggestions?
I have had a yeast infection under my breasts my belly and every other place on my body with a fold of skin---i thought at first it was a toilet paper allergy but have since been diagnosed as it being yeast and have gone thru two rounds of two dif meds....and its slowly coming back...its as if I have tiny granules of sand coming out of me---sometimes its soft dead skin but there is alot of the sandlike particles all over my body and especially in vagina and butt after peeing or having bowel movement....I am 57 type 2 diabetes and this is my first dealings with a yeast infection....what is the sandlike granules coming off or out of

Welcome to HCM.The sand like granules would be the yeast heads falling off the hyphae,oral antifungals like itraconazole/Fluconazole will need to be taken for 3-6 weeks ,at least 3 weeks after symptoms have disappeared. Antifungal vaginal pessaries may be needed,you may need your partner to also take the antifungal along with you to prevent passing the genitasl infection to-and fro.Ensure that your blood sugar is well controlled.
