Yes, Age 52 And Have Probably Drank A Bit Too

Yes, age 52 and have probably drank a bit too much alcohol the past 10 years. Prior to that not much. Not addicted but us and our set of friends definitely drink almost nightly. I am 5'10 and 220 but working out to get down below 200 which my doctor wants me from 200-210. In the past year, I seemed to have higher blood pressure and now on 50 mg Losarton by my doctor who is an internist but I have not seen a cardiologist yet. I have a physical in March. The thing is my energy for working out just doesn't seem to be coming back as quickly as it used to. I see that excessive alcohol can stiffen the heart etc. My question is, can the damage possibly done in past 10 years be reversed and get back to my old strength and feeling?
