Yes please. I am 42, and take Primolut N for 8 days per cycle to alleviate a cluster of cycle related symptoms. I do not require birth control, as my husband has had a successful ( tested) vasectomy. I am investigating options for eliminating periods entirely. I do not believe that periods are a requirement for health, in fact, I believe that the repeated cell turnover can only be risky, and that combined with debilitating symptoms (that have only appeared after 35), well, there is no reason to continue this in this century! My OBGYN does not recommend estrogen pills, as I had a short bout of high BP a year ago and also sometimes have migraines with aura. I also have a small, benign nodule in my thyroid, but thyroid hormones are normal and regularly tested and the nodule is scanned four-monthly - no treatment is the current protocol. I have tried Mirena and had unpleasant experience and it was removed after two years - it did not reduce periods at all for me in any case. Should I try Mirena again, or can Primulot be used in a way to eliminate periods, or what other option can I investigate. I have one child of 7 and will not be having more children. My weight is stable and normal, and so is my BP. No other medication other than vitamins and omegas.
