A Female Friend Was Told To Take 10,000 Mg Per

a female friend was told to take 10,000 mg per day of Vitamin D after shoulder surgery. Then the doctor increased it to 15,000 mg per day. She has had a third surgery with a different doctor. He told her that she had toxic overdose of Vitamin D. Her bones are spongy. The first doctor had to have seen this. What would have caused the soft bone issue? The Vitamin D? Does she have bone cancer?
