Hello, I Last Summer (july2015) I Partially Tore My Acl.

hello,

I last summer (july2015) I partially tore my acl. my knee was locked for 2-3 months before it starting getting its movement back. I have been going to the gym to strengthen my left knee, but theres always a weird feeling. On april 3rd I went to get mri does again to see what was wrong, however on april 23rd 2016 i was playing a friendly game with my brace on hurt the same knee. It went to straight and i felt my entire knee move. the next day till now its been blocked. i went to the hospital immediately and the doctor told me its just a sprain on the knee( the same knee that was partially torn). my results finally came in from my mri on the 3rd of april and it says : FINDINGS :

The act is deformed from previous sprain.
- no acute acl injury
- the mcl lcl pal are all intact
-at the junction of body and the lateral meniscal root is a small focus of intrsubstance high single on imagine 18 series 9 which may represent blunting and fraying of the meniscus in the region.
- the medical meniscus is unremarkable
-no join effusion or baker's cyst
- normal retinacula are normal patellar and trochlear cartilage
- no fracture or contusion.

I am applying to become a police officer, and Im a very sporty guy, like working out running, and I'm wondering if i should do the surgery. thing is I don't know if anything change in my knee since i hurt it on april 23rd which was after these mri results that came in.
