hello my aunt sarah who is 78 years old came down with viral estephalitis. (sp?) She has been in a coma for 2 weeks. the doctors misdiagnosed it as a stroke. She is showing signs of waking up but has not. Is there any hope her body can wake up and be functional? No recent ct scans but last wk the ct showed signs of frontal lobe damage. Can this cause her not to fully wake up ever? Or just needs more time? By the way the infection seems to be gone. No fever and vitals are good. Thank-u so much. Joe and Denise
