hello, my husband has a skin rash right at the base of his spine on the tailbone. It does not behave like shingles which he has had. It looks like flat raised areas with no blisters. He says it is painful only when he sits on his tailbone. He has lost weight and the bone is barely covered with any fat, but most of us have very little fat on our tailbones. He has an appointment soon with a dermatologist, but I just wondered what you might know about a rash that only appears on the base of the spine that does not itch.
